The Mana World (TMW) is an open source, freely downloadable and multiplatform software project that aims to create an innovative MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) platform for computer and mobile operating systems. It is a Mana client!
Being comprised of both a client and a server, The Mana World game uses 2D (two-dimensional) graphics and provides users with a very large and diverse interactive world that will keep them entertained for hours, and even weeks.
In this game, the player will have to use the arrow keys to move around, attack with the CTRL key, use the F1-F10 keys to toggle various windows and components (chat, minimap, online hellp, profile, inventory, equipment, skills, etc.), pick up items with the Z or G keys, as well as to target the nearest monster with the A key.
To play the The Mana World game, users will have to register for a free account, which can be created on the project’s website. You can also create a new account from within game; you must choose a server and then press the “Register” button.
While taking a quick look under the hood of the The Mana World project, we’ve noticed that it is written in the C++ programming language, and that the SDL, SDL_image, SDL_gfx, SDL_mixer, SDL_net, SDL_ttf, Guichan, libxml2, PhysFS , ENet, libcurl, and zlib open source software are required. The game has been successfully tested on 32 and 64-bit computer platforms.
The Mana World is a cross-platform software, which means that you will be able to play it on any GNU/Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Arch, Gentoo are officially supported), BSD distribution (FreeBSD and OpenBSD are officially supported), Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Android operating systems.
