    Tomboy-LaTeX description

Tomboy-LaTeX provides a LaTeX math plugin for Tomboy.

Tomboy-LaTeX provides a LaTeX math plugin for Tomboy.

Tomboy-LaTeX is a plugin for the desktop note-taking application Tomboy. It automatically converts LaTeX math code enclosed in [...] into inline images. Clicking on the image reveals the markup again.

    Requirements:

    · Tomboy-0.5.9 or higher
    · a LaTeX install is required on the PATH
    · convert (ImageMagick) is needed to create the images

This file contain the C#-source code and compile scripts. Additional installation instrutions are given in the archive.

    Build and Install
    -----------------
    Simply run

    ./configure
    make
    make install (as root)

It should install the plugin in the tomboy plugins directory.
You can then install it via the tomboy interface (or copy the Latex.dll
from the plugins directory (usually /usr/lib/tomboy/Plugins) to your
    $HOME/.tomboy/Plugins folder)

    Using the Plugin
    ------------------
Simply type LaTeX math formulas enclosed in [...] in your notes and they will
automatically be converted to images. To edit the image again, simply click on
it or backspace over it. It is a bit tricky to find out when the plugin will
convert text to images and backwards, simply try it out, it should be quite
    intuitie most of the time.

The images are only displayed when you open a note and are not saved to your notes.
