An alternative to the application lens on Ubuntu's Unity desktop
RunLens is an alternative for the application lens plugin that is used in Ubuntu's Unity desktop to start applications.

RunLens doesn't show "Apps available for Download" and "Most Frequently used" sections. Instead it only lists installed applications sorted by relevancy to the search query.

In addition to the program's name and icon it shows a short description for every application.

After you installed RunLens will be started automatically when you next log in.
