windowslnkthumbnail is a KIO Plugin to generate thumbnails of .lnk files.
Requires wine to be installed.
Will only generate previews if the .lnk files are in the default WINEPREFIX.
Developer comments
Please note that for this to be of any use, one has to tell dolphin (and/or plasma's folder view!) to preview "Windows LNK files".
In dolphin:
"Settings"->"Configure Dolphin"->"General"->"Previews" and make sure "Windows LNK files" is ticked.
In plasma's folder view properties:
"Display"->"More Preview Options" and make sure "Windows LNK files" is ticked.
If anybody knows a way to tell KDE to do this automatically, I'd love to know!
