Another interesting thing is the built-in search function that allows the user to search and filter TV listing by title, actor or description. Also, it is possible to set an external command or application alerts

At the moment, the application can grab TV listing from a wide range of countries, including Canada, USA, UK, Germany, Austria, Finland, Spain, Netherlands, Hungary, Denmark, Japan, Sweden, France, Norway and Romania.
Under the hood, supported OSes and availability
While the program is written entirely in the C++ programming language, the graphical user interface has been written with the help of the cross-platform Qt GUI toolkit, which means that it will run well on both GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows OSes.
On Linux, the application is available for download as a source archive, as well as a binary file for 64-bit Ubuntu- and Debian-based operating systems. However, it can be easily installed on many other Linux OSes from their default software repositories.
Summing up, Maxemum TV-Guide is a really great application if you are into TV shows and you don’t have time to monitor each and every one of them, as it will notify you when your favorite show is about to begin!
