nouveGnome is a modern and attractive icon theme.
Developer comments
First, I modified the beautiful icon theme nuoveXT-1.6 to make it compatible with recent versions of GNOME. Then, during a few months, I removed, replaced, made and added some icons for my personal use (especially, I didn't like the folder icon of nuoveXT).
Now, I think, nouveGnome can be shared as it can change the look and feel of GNOME.
nouveGnome depends on the GNOME icon theme (provided by the package gnome-icon-theme in Debian and Ubuntu) because it isn't a complete icon set yet. My plan is to make it more and more complete.
nouveGnome is compatible with my GTK and Emerald themes (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/GnomishBeige?content=125443).
