Arvensis is an icon theme for the GNOME desktop environment.
Developer comments
I spent most of my time working on Arvensis. I'm not good at drawing, so I decided to take bits and pieces from other themes, add my own unique touches, and arrange them together. I spent a LOT of time trying to make sure that the icons' colors followed the silly "usability scheme" that I thought up:
-Green is a "positive" color. It indicates something that the user can do to confirm something or otherwise move forward.
-Red is a "warning" color. It indicates "negative" operations (such as closing a window or program) that users should be wary of.
-Black is a "bad" color to indicate something that is very permanent, such as deleting a file.
-Brown & blue are the colors for locations.
Arvensis is probably missing a few icons here and there, but it's mostly completed and that's what I'm releasing it as. Off the top of my head, I only remember using icons from Gian and Discovery. If you see any of your icons in here, let me know and I'll be glad to give you credit.
