    Evil Status Icon Forever description

    Adds the good ol' applet-like notification area

    Evil Status Icon Forever is a GNOME Shell extension that removes the built-in status icon and adds an applet-like notification area on the top bar.

    To install this extension you must have GNOME Shell installed or Cinnamon. However, keep in mind that it was not tested with Cinnamon.
