Metadot Forms is a forms package for Metadot. Using the web based GUI you can create custom forms (screens) with text, popups, radio-buttons and validation. Metadot Forms also automagically provides searching, sorting and more. It is in the spirit of Hypercard or Oracle Forms.
No longer do you have to munge all sorts of stuff into "description" and not be able to get it back or sort it. You can add a field "Earned Run Average" and make sure it is 0.00 to 9.99, or specify a popup... and so on.
In the metadot traditional, you can put "Cards" in Categories, cut and paste them... anything you can do with the basic metadot "Item".
Requirements:
· Metadot 3.1.2
INSTALLATION
1. Backup metadot as described in the Metadot documentation
2. move the tar file metadot_forms_xxx.tar to your metedot-user directory (metadot's INSTALL and README me should be files in this direcftory, and metadot and html should both be subdirectories) gunzip it, and untar with tar -tvf.
3. cd to the metadot directory and create the form defintions the forms editor itself uses with perl form_import_sys
