Azureus Speed Control 1.0

Azureus Speed Control is a project that enables automatic configuration of your upload limit. This addresses the problem of implicit additional upload when Azureus downloads with high speed, which can lead to connection choking. This is a problem specially for users with low upload bandwidth like German ADSL users.

If your download rate increases, the upload limit will be reduced by a value that can be customized. If the download rate decreases, the upload limit will increase again.

Requirements:

· Azureus 2.5.0.0 or newer (probably also works with all Azureus versions newer than 2.1.0.0)
· Java 1.5 runtime environment

Installation:

Installation of Azureus Speed Control is very easy. Just follow these simple instructions.

First download the latest release from SourceForge.

Create a directory for Speed Control inside your Azureus plugin directory. Example for the directory name:

${AZUREUS_HOME}/plugins/speedcontrol

Copy all JAR files contained in the Speed Control archive to this new directory.

Start Azureus.

Check whether Speed Control is listed under Preferences - Plugins.

Proceed to the Users Guide for configuration instructions.
