Linux-Wildo is a voice chat software for gamers.

Linux-Wildo is a project to build a platform independent replacement for Roger Wilco (not the janitor), a voice chat program for gamers with a client and server model.

Development happens for half a year, then sleeps for another but it still is considered pre-alpha and not quite usable yet.

Installation instructions:

$ ./configure
$ cd test
$ make

This will make some test programs included a test client (lwtestclient) that has basic functionality. The other programs let you keep up with the project state. They actually do something, not useful, but something.

$ cd server
$ make

This will make the lwserver, it is only half working but it is already the starting base to which add features.

Jokes you can do:

in a shell (server dir) start a server in control mode:

$./lwserver -c

in another shell (server dir) start a server in data mode on port 9000

$./lwserver -d -p 9000

in another shell (test dir) start a client

From the client press "c" to connect to the server then try to register the dataserver "g" that's all, look then talk and wait for more. Playing with lwserver.cpp sources and recompiling the server you can manually register more data server and look control server control them all.

What's New in This Release:

Removed the test server.
Redesigned the server class structure and wrote definitive control and data server.
Added multiple dataserver/controlserver support.
Probably last release before alpha 0.2.x
Last pre-alpha non working release.
