Jukebox for Kids was created from scratch in Adobe Flash CS3 - it loads and plays streaming mp3s with the click of a button. The graphics for the jukebox and buttons were designed in Adobe Photoshop CS3. Note: The application does not have the ability to dynamically access additional content.
The audio content is totally appropriate for young children. It consists of kids nursery rhymes, songs and stories downloaded from LibriVox, a public domain audio sub-collection of the Internet Archive. LibriVox volunteers record chapters of books in the public domain and release them for free on the The Internet Archive(www.archive.org), a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, they provide free, unrestricted access to the general public. (See sample view for complete, detailed information about the content and its source).
