wattOS, a lightweight, energy saving Linux distribution designed to not only bring your old computer back to life, but also to eat up as little power as possible, is now at version R7.

The most important change in wattOS R7 is the fact that now the distribution is based on Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail).

Highlights of wattOS R7:

• The distribution features a custom LXDE desktop; • Printing, user management, multi-monitor support, power management, and software management features have been included by default; • Linux Kernel has been updated to version 3.8.0.21; • Transmission has been updated to version 2.77; • Abiword has been updated to version 2.9.2; • Support has been added for power management on laptops; • Chromium has been updated to version 25.0.1364.160.
