Here's how the Linux kernel developers work

For today's "Watch" series of articles, we've prepared a very nice video compilation, courtesy of The Linux Foundation, containing several video tours of Linux kernel developer work spaces.

If you have approximately 25 minutes to spare, and you've ever been curious to see how some of the most prominent Linux kernel developers work on implementing cool new features into the core component of all GNU/Linux operating systems, we strongly recommend watching the videos below.

The compilation is called Linux Kernel Developer Workstations Unplugged, it has been assembled by the skilled folks at The Linux Foundation, and at the moment of writing this article, it contains a total of nine videos, but more will be added in the future, so you should bookmark the page.

Among the big names you'll be seeing are Linux creator himself, Linus Torvalds, his right hand, Mr. Greg Kroah-Hartman, and Stephane Graber, Steve Rostedt, Hans Verkuil, John Linville and Tejun Heo of Red Hat, K.Y. Srinivasan of Microsoft, as well as Linaro's Mark Brown.

We have watched them all, and we can assure you that they're pretty entertaining, if you're a geek, that is. We also believe that these kinds of videos are really inspiring for those of you who want to become Linux kernel developers or maintainers.
