Of course, everything is a Hollywood mirage

It's almost weekend, so we're continuing our "Watch" series of articles with a really funny one, Justin Bieber's latest video for the song "Sorry," where you can see the GNOME Shell user interface of the GNOME desktop environment for GNU/Linux OSes.

The whole concept of the video is quite interesting, though we can’t tell for sure if it's unique or not. However, the most interesting aspect we've noticed while watching the video is that, starting at 0:30, you can see a girl typing some text on an iMac.

Well, the funny thing is that the iMac computer does not run Apple's Mac OS X operating system, but the open source GNOME desktop environment with the GNOME Shell user interface.

Of course, the respective iMac does not run a GNU/Linux operating system in the video, nor the GNOME desktop environment, as everything is, without a doubt, a mirage, but what remains interesting is the fact that GNOME runs on an iMac.

We can't help but notice another unexpected fact: the username shown in the video on the GNOME desktop environment is "andrei," which is Romanian form of Andrew.

All in all, a question remains: why choose to show a Linux desktop on an iMac on your video when you're the most famous person in the world? Why not show the OS X desktop? Anyway, enjoy the video below and have a great weekend!
