14 DAY TRIAL // The developers behind the cross-platform, Chromium-based Vivaldi web browser have announced earlier today, December 11, the immediate availability for download of a new snapshot for all supported operating systems, including GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows.
According to the release announcement, the Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.344.24 brings the proprietary web browser closer to the second Beta build. Among the changes implemented in the new snapshot, we can mention better compatibility with some websites, as well as thumbnail and tabs improvements.
Additionally, the new Vivaldi snapshot promises to improve the keyboard shortcuts for Mac OS X operating system, provide GNU/Linux users with better packages, update the spatial navigation, and make the tab muting functionality work as expected. A few regressions have been patched as well in this new release.
"Today's update brings us a step closer to our second beta, with several crucial fixes for: site compatibility, thumbnail problems, black/unresponsive tabs, Mac keyboard shortcuts, Linux packaging, spatial navigation and tab muting," said Ruarí Ødegaard, Linux QA and Testing at Vivaldi.
