A few smaller improvements have landed as well

Shotcut is an impressive video editor that runs on multiple platforms and which also happens to be open source. Its makers usually push a new update out the door each week and now it's time for another one.

Usually, Shotcut upgrades are quite large, but this latest one brings only a few features. The good news is that one of those new features is a Ripple All Tracks option, which was sorely needed.

"Well, what do you know? It turns out there is a v15.08 for download after all! It was delayed due to build infrastructure problems and travel. While we have been focusing lately on a major UI toolkit upgrade, I wanted to get some fixes out," reads the announcement.

According to the changelog, a Ripple All Tracks option to the Timeline menu, a toggle option for this function has been added in the timeline menu), and 5 new audio dynamics filters have been implemented (Compressor, Delay, Expander, Limiter, and Reverb)

You can download the latest ShotCut 15.08 from Softpedia, but you might also be able to find it in various repositories. The developers provide easy-to-use methods to get this installed, so it shouldn't present any important issue. Also, make sure that you check back on Softpedia because a more comprehensive review for this app will be live in the next couple of weeks.
