Guild Software announced a new update to their cross-platform, multiplayer Vendetta Online 1.8 MMORPG, versioned 1.8.398, which ships only a few days after the 1.8.397 maintenance update.

As you might imagine, Vendetta Online 1.8.398 is a small patch addressing various issues reported by users from the previous point release, but also adding significant improvements to analog stick sensitivity for various game controllers made by Razer, Moga, SteelSeries, and Nyko, when playing the game with the Samsung Gear VR headset.

Among these new joystick enhancements, we can mention that it's now possible to apply a custom sensitivity curve, which should allow for better "small motion" accuracy when aiming. Additionally, the center deadzone was reduced and the outer saturation deadzone removed to increase the analog input range by up to 13 percent.

"Basically, the goal here is to improve support for playing the game with a console-style game controller, particularly in VR," reads the announcement. "From our own testing and usage, this above change is a big improvement, but we may continue to tweak things before we bring to across to other platforms."

Future Vendetta Online maintenance updates should bring more customizable options for controller sensitivity, but until then, you can now install the Vendetta Online 1.8.398 release on your system.
