The developers haven't said when it will happen

Dungeon Defenders II, an action tower defense game developed and published by Trendy Entertainment on Steam, will also get a Linux version.

The game is still in the Early Access program, which means that it's not complete and that developers are still working on it. In fact, Trendy Entertainment has quite a success with this title, despite not being complete, and they have also revealed that they plan to release it for the Linux platform as well. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to provide a launch date for this port.

Dungeon Defenders II is built on the Unreal III engine, so it shouldn't present a big challenge for the devs. On the other hand, they have said nothing about making the port available only after the proper launch on Steam (when it reaches a stable stage).

"The Old Ones’ armies have invaded Etheria and it’s up to you and your friends to push them back! Create a team of heroes to take into battle. Then freeze, burn, and electrocute enemies with your deadly defenses or jump into the action yourself to finish them off! Play by yourself or with up to three friends in 4-player online co-op. Need help on the battlefield? Fuse and upgrade your loot in The Tavern, then level up your Heroes’ Defenses and Abilities through hero-specific Specs!" reads the Steam entry.

The developers from Trendy Entertainment have confirmed their Linux plans on Twitter, as you can see below.
