In the last hours of October 20, Canonical's Łukasz Zemczak sent in his daily report to inform us all about the things that happened in the Ubuntu Touch world since the release of the OTA-7 software update on October 19, 2015.

According to Mr. Zemczak, the Ubuntu Touch OTA-7 (r26) update was fully deployed to all supported Ubuntu phones and tablets, including BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition, BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition, Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition, Nexus 4, as well as Nexus 7.

However, users of BQ Aquaris E4.5 devices who didn't receive the OTA-7 update notification are advised by Mr. Zemczak to reboot their phones and check for an update again by going into Settings -> About this phone and pressing the Check for updates button.

"If you didn't get an update yet, please reboot your phone and check for updates then - we noticed that due to the early publish on Friday things can get 'stuck' for krillin devices," said Łukasz Zemczak. "We are also slowly recovering the LT infrastructure after the instance going down earlier."

From now on, the Ubuntu Touch developers will concentrate their efforts on implementing new features and fixing more bugs for the Ubuntu mobile operating system, which will land in the next software update, the OTA-8, planned for release on November 18, 2015.

Ubuntu devs are being informed by Mr. Zemczak that OTA-8 is opened for landings, so they can submit new features and fixes. Also, the overlay-ppa daily-builds was re-enabled in the rc-proposed channel. Lastly, the buteo contact sync landing will be re-released in the next image of Ubuntu Touch.
