14 DAY TRIAL // Canonical, through Adam Conrad, announced earlier the immediate availability for download and testing of the first Alpha versions for some of the official flavors of the upcoming Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) operating system.
June 25, 2015, marks the general availability of Ubuntu 15.10 development releases. Alpha 1 is the first one, and we will be able to test a second Alpha version at the end of July, as well as the first Beta release on August 27.
The Final Beta of Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) will arrive on September 24, 2015, followed by the final release of the Ubuntu 15.10 operating system and all of its derivatives on October 22.
The first Alpha consists of the Ubuntu MATE 15.10, Kubuntu 15.10, Lubuntu 15.10, and Ubuntu Kylin distributions, for which we will create separate articles here on Softpedia with screenshot tours, so just click on each one to see what new features they bring.
On a general note, the Alpha releases of Ubuntu Linux do not contain impressive changes and are still based on the previous stable release of the operating system, Ubuntu 15.04 (Vivid Vervet) in this case.
"Alpha 1 includes a number of software updates that are ready for wider testing. This is quite an early set of images, so you should expect some bugs," says Adam Conrad in today's announcement.
