Today, December 20, 2016, Feral Interactive, the UK-based video game publisher known for porting numerous AAA titles to Linux and SteamOS platforms, proudly announced the availability of the Total War: WARHAMMER Realm of the Wood Elves DLC on Linux.

The company teased Linux/SteamOS gamers with the release of Total War: WARHAMMER Realm of the Wood Elves DLC on Steam for Linux and Valve's Debian-based SteamOS gaming platform a couple of weeks ago, when they told us that it might land just before the Christmas holidays. And today is that day!

"In Realm of the Wood Elves, the reclusive race of Elves venture out into the Old World with the largest piece of downloadable content for Total War: WARHAMMER," said Feral Interactive in today's announcement. "To lead your new Elven armies out of the trees and into combat, buy the Realm of the Wood Elves DLC on the Feral Store."

The Total War: WARHAMMER Realm of the Wood Elves DLC was released on Steam on December 8, 2016, but only for Windows systems. Considering the fact that Feral Interactive already ported Total War: WARHAMMER, which is required to play the DLC, to Linux and SteamOS, it didn't take long for them to port the new DLC, too.

Apart from that, Feral Interactive also announced today that players would be able to expand the Old World in Total War: WARHAMMER on Linux and SteamOS with a couple of new units, for free. These are Jade Wizard and Grey Wizard. You can buy the Total War: WARHAMMER Realm of the Wood Elves DLC right now from Steam or Feral Store.
