Neil seems to prefer the older GNOME 3.14, for now

Neil McGovern is the new Debian project leader, and he already made some contributions and opened up some important discussions within the project from his new position. He also revealed what he's using on a daily basis.

Neil McGovern has a very interesting interview to mylinuxrig.com, and we got to find out a lot of interesting stuff that you wouldn't normally know. He describes his position at Debian as "a very impressive title that boils down to being a figurehead for the Debian project." He also shared a screenshot of this current setup, and it's nice to see that he's a minimalist of sorts.

He seems to prefer GNOME 3.14, although the interview is a couple of months old. GNOME 3.16 was already out by that time, but he was still sporting the previous release. He's also not a big fan of customization, and the desktop looks pretty much like the vanilla one. Also, he's using Lenovo ThinkPad X220, and he's been through most of the other desktops like Xfce or GNOME 2.

Neil McGovern ran on a very interesting platform, and some of you might remember that he has some really cool ideas, like adopting the PPA system for Debian, for example. Also, under his watch we got a new Debian stable version, and things seem to go smoothly.
