4MLinux developer Zbigniew Konojacki informs Softpedia today, October 26, 2016, about the release and immediate availability of version 20.0 of his server-oriented TheSSS (The Smallest Server Suite) GNU/Linux distribution.

Based on the upcoming 4MLinux 20.0 operating system, due for release in the first week of November 2016, TheSSS 20.0 is now available for those who want a lightweight server suite in a Live CD they can use virtually anywhere, independent of the OS installed on the target computer.

TheSSS 20.0 is powered by a kernel from the long-term supported Linux 4.4 series, version 4.4.17 at the moment of writing this article, and ships with various up-to-date server-related components, including the Apache 2.4.23 web server, MariaDB 10.1.18 database server, as well as PHP 5.6.27 server-side HTML embedded scripting language.

"TheSSS (The Smallest Server Suite) is a lightweight server suite distributed as a live CD. This release is based on the 4MLinux Server 20.0, meaning that the components of the LAMP server are now Linux 4.4.17, Apache 2.4.23, MariaDB 10.1.18, and PHP 5.6.27," said Zbigniew Konojacki in today's release announcement.

TheSSS comes bundled with an LAMP (Linux, Apache, MariaDB and PHP) server and you can download the 32-bit Live ISO image right now via our website.
