Developers are really close to their October launch

The Solus operating system is on track for an October 1 release, and it looks like the fundraiser was also a success.

The Solus team encountered some financial difficulties as the project grew larger. The operating system had a lot more success than it was previously anticipated, and that had a serious impact on the finances of the project.

We have to keep in mind that Solus is just beginning its journey, but unlike other distros that usually star in anonymity and later grow and get new users, this one had a different path. Solus already has a lot of fans, and numerous users are eagerly expecting the stable release. This also put pressure on the developers to deliver the best experience possible.

Solus 1.0 will arrive on October 1, and the developers needed some help with money. They organized a fundraiser, and it looks like it's been a great success. They were not asking for much, but they have a lot of fans out there.

"Our fundraiser has without a shadow of a doubt smashed through its goal! Thank you so much to everyone supporting us!" wrote Ikey Doherty, the leader of the project. You can still donate on their website, and they have pledged to keep everything transparent. Solus still needs your help, now more than ever.

You can download the latest Solus build from Softpedia and give it a spin.
