Sword Coast Legends is a new RPG developed by n-Space and published by Digital Extremes on Steam. The developer confirmed the fact that it would be available for the Linux and SteamOS platforms as well.

Sword Coast Legends takes place in the Forgotten Realms universe and it's using the Dungeons & Dragons combat system, although it's not all that transparent for the users, unless they really want to. The game has a dungeon master mode in which he (or she) engages players and empowers them to have fun. It not something usually done in RPG games, so this is going to be a big selling point.

"Sword Coast Legends fully supports cross platform network play on any mix of Windows, Mac and Linux machines. As further proof of the team’s shared commitment to gamers on all desktop platforms, each Sword Coast Legends Steam key can be redeemed for the player’s platform of choice," said the devs in an announcement.

The game is expected to land in a little over a couple of months, so that means it's almost complete. The system requirements for the Linux platform haven't been revealed just yet, but it doesn't seem like they’re going to be all that big.

As is stands right now, Sword Coast Legends also has a 15% discount on Steam that will expire on September 8.
