The development team behind the Subsurface open-source dive log and dive planning application was proud to announce the immediate availability for download of the Subsurface 4.6.4 release.

Subsurface 4.6.4 is the latest stable version of the popular program developed by Linus Torvalds in collaboration with other developers, and adds a great number of improvements over previous builds. These include a new planner mode to calculate minimum gas, better handling of notes when replanning dives, as well as support for the border width setting in printing templates.

The planner tooltips and table labels were improved as well, and Subsurface now allows users to directly add dive duration and depth for all manually added dives. The CSV import and export functionality was updated, along with the DivingLog import facility, and it looks like Subsurface 4.6.4 implements support for importing the latest Suunto DM5 file formats.

There's also better handling of Uwatec memomouse tank pressure values and Cobalt imports with unused tanks in Subsurface 4.6.4, which includes some consistency changes for various of the terms used across the app, fixes for several potential crashes and rounding related problems, as well as an updated libdivecomputer library with some much-needed improvements.

Last but not least, Subsurface now correctly syncs unit systems between the desktop version and the mobile app using cloud storage.
