The developers of the Simplicity Linux distribution have had the great pleasure of announcing the immediate availability for download of the final release of Simplicity Linux 15.10.

According to the announcement, the biggest new features in Simplicity Linux 15.10 are the availability of Linux kernel 4.1.1 LTS, and the rebasing of the entire system on the LXPup distribution, a Puppy Linux variant featuring the LXDE desktop environment.

LXDE (Lightweight X11 Desktop Environment) has been highly customized with the wbar as the dock-like application launcher tool. Among the pre-installed software, we can mention LibreOffice, Mozilla Thunderbird, and many others.

"We are very pleased to announce the release of Simplicity Linux 15.10. Due to some issues users were finding with the 64 bit edition of Simplicity 15.7, we’ve decided to put our 64 bit releases on hiatus until we can resolve the issue," reads the announcement.

The X Edition of Simplicity Linux 15.10 is a bit different from the Desktop and Netbook ones as it is built around the LXQt desktop environment and uses an older Linux kernel, version 3.4.94.

Download Simplicity Linux 15.10 Desktop, Netbook, and X Edition right now from Softpedia. All three flavors are available only as 32-bit Live CD ISO images, as the 64-bit editions will be released in the coming days.
