phpMyAdmin, the popular tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL databases, has just reached version 4.0.0 Beta 3.

The developers of phpMyAdmin have just released the third development version, in a new branch of the application. There aren't many changes from the previous release, but at least they're staying on track to release the 4.0.0 branch.

Highlights of phpMyAdmin 4.0.0 Beta 3:

• Insert is now available as new row enhancement; • Codemirror is now activated in the query window; • Password buttons now match; • The PHP version of the ENUM editor has been removed.

A complete list changes can be found in the official changelog, in the downloaded source archive. Download phpMyAdmin 4.0.0. Beta 3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
