phpMyAdmin, the popular tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL databases, has just reached version 3.4.6.

The developers of phpMyAdmin have stated that this is only a bugfix and minor security release. Nonetheless, users should upgrade to the latest version as there are quite a few changes.

Among the bugs fixed in phpMyAdmin 3.4.6 we can find a few important ones: editing SQL statement after error, collation was not displayed for long enum fields, DB-specific privileges weren't submited, full text button unchecked results display options, external link fails in 3.4, display options link were missing after search, and many others.

There were also two security fixes in phpMyAdmin 3.4.6: fixed local path disclosure vulnerability and fixed XSS in setup (host/verbose parameter).
