14 DAY TRIAL // Just a few minutes ago, the development team behind the OpenShot free, open source and cross-platform video editor software for GNU/Linux operating systems, proudly announced the release and immediate availability for download and testing of the first Beta build of OpenShot 2.0.
The OpenShot 2.0 video editor has been in development for quite some time now, and it still is, but users can now finally get their hands on the Beta version, which brings the upcoming 2.0 release closer to reality. We wrote many articles in the past about its forthcoming features.
At the moment of writing this article we have no details about what new features have been implemented, except for the fact that it is based on the Python 3 and PyQt5 technologies, and requires the libopenshot 0.0.8 and libopenshot-audio 0.0.6 libraries.
"After many years of development, I am very proud to release the first beta of OpenShot 2.0! This new version is re-written from the ground up, and is based on PyQt5, Python3, and libopenshot (our new library)," said Jonathan Thomas in today's Launchpad announcement.
