Today, November 30, 2015, Collabora's Emil Velikov has announced the release and immediate availability for download of the second RC (Release Candidate) build of the upcoming Mesa 11.1.0 open source 3D graphics library software.

According to the internal release notes, Mesa 11.1.0 Release Candidate 2 includes a great number of improvements and fixes for many of those nasty bugs reported by users since the previous RC release of the software, which is now available for all GNU/Linux operating systems.

Among some of the most interesting things implemented in the second Release Candidate build of the Mesa 11.1.0 3D graphics library, we can mention support for adding AM_CPPFLAGS to libloader_la_CPPFLAGS, numerous fd management cleanups, and support for using DSA functions for VBOs in brw_meta_fast_clear.

Of course, there are numerous other improvements, so we strongly recommend that you read the complete changelog attached at the end of the article if you're curious to know what exactly has been changed in this new development milestone towards Mesa 11.1.0 3D Graphics Library.

In the meantime, you can download the Mesa 11.1.0 Release Candidate 2 sources right now from Softpedia and start compiling them in your GNU/Linux operating system, but please try to keep in mind that this is a pre-release version, not suitable for deployment in production environments where stability is of the essence.
