Today, September 7, 2016, Italo Vignoli from The Document Foundation has been happy to inform Softpedia via an email announcement about the general availability of the first point release of the LibreOffice 5.2 open-source and cross-platform office suite.

LibreOffice 5.2.1 is here one month after the launch of the most advanced LibreOffice release ever, version 5.2, which brought countless improvements to all of the office suite's components, including Writer, Draw, Math, Calc, etc., along with a bunch of user interface refinements that users will love, especially on GNU/Linux platforms.

The announcement has been made from Brno, Czech Republic, where the LibOCon LibreOffice developer conference is taking place these days between September 7 and September 9, and it looks like LibreOffice 5.2.1 is a minor maintenance update that introduces a total of 105 improvements in various areas of the software.

"LibreOffice 5.2.1, targeted at technology enthusiasts, early adopters and power users, provides a number of fixes over the major release announced in August. For all other users and enterprise deployments, TDF suggests LibreOffice 5.1.5 'still,' with the backing of professional support by certified people," says Italo Vignoli in the email.

LibreOffice 5.2.1 is available for download from our website, and you can get it right now for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems. Again, this is the latest stable version of the popular office suite, and we recommend upgrading to it as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary complications and other annoyances.
