We always love to see AAA titles released with day-one support for Linux, and Square Enix has just launched the Lara Croft GO turn-based puzzle video game on Steam, the next episode in the Tomb Raider series.

Lara Croft GO is developed by Square Enix Montreal and published by Square Enix Holdings, and if the title sounds familiar is because it initially launched last year in August for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone mobile devices, as well as in the Windows 10 Store. The game is now also available on Steam for Linux and macOS, and you can also enjoy it on your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation Vita gaming consoles.

Lara Croft GO offers a gorgeous cartoonish environment that takes the player on puzzle-adventure experiences where you need to avoid obstacles and manipulate the environment to explore the ruins of an ancient civilization and discover well-kept secrets in the search for the myth of the Queen of Venom. The game features full control support, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and Steam trading cards.

As for the system requirements, Square Enix recommends that you run at least Ubuntu 14.04.4 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system on a computer boasting an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU running at 2.40GHz with 2GB RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 310 graphics card. For the best experience, a PC with an Intel Core i5-3450 processor running at 3.10GHz, 8GB RAM, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 GPU is recommended.

The game is now on sale with a 20% discount, and you can purchase it from Steam.
