David Cortarello of the Kwort project has announced today, November 27, the release and immediate availability for download of the Kwort Linux 4.3 computer operating system.

According to the release notes published on the project's website, Kwort Linux 4.3 is now the latest stable and most reliable version of the CRUX-based operating system. It has been rebased on the recently released CRUX 3.2 distro and runs on the Linux 4.1.13 LTS kernel, which is also used on the upstream CRUX OS.

"New version of Kwort available, this one is 4.3. Get it while it's hot!" said David Cortarello in today's announcement. "As always we remain fast, stable, and simple and now we have grown up a little to include a lot of Linux firmwares available for tons of devices. As usual, everything has been built cleanly and from scratch."

Also worth mentioning in Kwort Linux 4.3 is a new version of the kpkg package manager, which has been updated with support for excluding certain packages during upgrades, in order to avoid the accidental upgrade of some configuration files. Also, the init scripts have been unified with the start-stop-daemon script.

Last but not least, the Chromium 47.0.2526.69 Beta web browser has been included in Kwort Linux 4.3. You can download the new Kwort Linux 4.3 ISO image right now from Softpedia, available for both 64-bit and 32-bit hardware architectures.
