Korora Project has informed its users that the Korora 20 "Peach" Linux distribution reached EOL (End of Life) status on June 23, 2015, which means that it will no longer receive security patches and software updates.

Korora is a GNU/Linux distro derived from the well-known Fedora Linux operating system from Red Hat. As such, Korora 20 was based on Fedora 20 "Heisenbug," whose end-of-life announcement was made a couple of days ago.

"Since we use Fedora as the base for our distribution and thus follow the Fedora Project's life cycle, it means that Korora 20 Peach reached it's End Of Life status yesterday on June 23," reads the announcement.

Therefore, Korora developers urge all users of the Korora 20 Linux distribution to back up their systems and proceed to upgrade to the newest, supported release of the operating system, Korora 21 (Darla), as soon as possible.

With this announcement, Korora users are being informed that the Korora 20 Linux distribution is now considered vulnerable. Detailed upgrade instructions can be found on the distribution's Wiki page at https://kororaproject.org/support/documentation/upgrading-korora.
