The Kubuntu developers, through Marco Parillo, announced this past weekend that the they updated the KDE Frameworks package in the development version of Kubuntu 15.10 to version 5.15.0, which was released on October 10, 2015.

Therefore, we're happy to inform our readers that the recently announced KDE Frameworks 5.15.0 collection of add-on libraries for the Qt 5 GUI (Graphical User Interface) toolkit landed in the default software repositories of the upcoming Kubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) GNU/Linux operating system.

If you didn't have time to read our report on KDE Frameworks 5.15.0 published by the KDE developers this past weekend, you should know that it comes with numerous improvements to many of its core components, including Plasma Framework, KIO, KActivities, KWallet Framework, KNotification, KHTML, NetworkManagerQt, and KTextEditor.

"KDE Frameworks 5.15 have landed in Kubuntu Wily (to become 15.10)," said Marco Parillo. Kubuntu 15.10 will ship with all the latest KDE technologies that have been released in the last two months, including the KDE Plasma 5.4.2 desktop environment, the KDE Applications 15.08.1 software collection, and, of course, KDE Frameworks 5.15.0.

As mentioned, the Kubuntu 15.10 operating system is currently under development, but the final bits are coming together and we should be able to install the final release in approximately two weeks from today, on October 22, 2015, when Canonical will unveil the Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) OS.
