Today KDE released the third stability update for its KDE Applications 17.04 software suite, which contains a bunch of improvements for various of the supported KDE apps.

That's right, we're talking here about KDE Applications 17.04.3, which is not only the third maintenance update to the stable series but also the last, thus marking the end of life of the KDE Applications 17.04 software suite. It contains more than 25 bug fixes, along with several updated translation.

"Today KDE released the third stability update for KDE Applications 17.04. This release contains only bugfixes and translation updates, providing a safe and pleasant update for everyone," reads today's release announcement. "More than 25 recorded bugfixes include improvements."

Among the apps that receive attention in KDE Applications 17.04.3, we can mention Akonadi, Akregator, Ark, Artikulate, Dolphin, Dragon Player, KAlarm, KCalc, KCalCore, KDAV, Kdenlive, KGpg, KHelpCenter, KHolidays, Kleopatra, KMail, Kontact, Korganizer, KSudoku, KTurtle, KWalletManager, Marble, Okular, and Umbrello.

As expected, KDE Applications 17.04.3 also includes an update to the long-term supported (LTS) KDE Development Platform, specifically version 4.14.34, so we recommend all users update their systems to these new maintenance releases as soon as possible or as soon as they land in the main repos of their distributions.

Arch Linux users are apparently the first to receive the KDE Applications 17.04.3 packages, so update your installations now. As the KDE Applications 17.04 software suite has reached its end of life, we are now looking forward to the next major series, KDE Applications 17.08, which is expected to land on August 17, 2017.
