We reported a while ago the great team of developers behind the BackTrack Linux successor, Kali Linux, have released Docker images that allow users to run the most popular and powerful penetration testing distro on any platform.

The Kali Linux Docker images include a minimal base of the Linux kernel-based operating system. With them, users will be able to run Kali Linux on other OSes, such as CentOS, Gentoo, Mac OS X, SUSE, Azure, and RackSpace.

Now that the Kali Linux 2.0 operating system has been officially announced, the time has come for the Docker images of Kali Linux to be updated with support for this latest release, which includes a huge amount of new features and under-the-hood improvements.

Therefore, today we announce the immediate availability of Kali Linux 2.0 Docker images, as the developers of the Kali Linux distribution posted the great news on the official Twitter account of the distribution.

If you have Docker installed on your operating system, and you want to run all the goodness of Kali Linux 2.0 on top of it, all you have to do is run the "docker pull kalilinux/kali-linux-docker" command.

More details about the highlights of the Kali Linux 2.0 operating system can be found in the announcement. You can also download the Kali Linux 2.0 Live DVD ISO images right now from Softpedia.
