We reported earlier this week that the GNOME Project has announced the availability of the third snapshot of the anticipated GNOME 3.18 desktop environment, GNOME 3.17.3, a release that brought in new features and plugged numerous annoying bugs.

Numerous core components and applications were updated as part of the GNOME 3.17.3 desktop environment, and we wrote separate articles for some of the most important ones, so just search our website for "GNOME 3.17.3" if you're curious to know what's new.

Today, we want to show you something else. Something that we think you might like, the new default wallpapers of the upcoming GNOME 3.18 desktop environment, which have been published a few days ago as part of the gnome-background package.

As you might know, the GNOME desktop has one of those wallpapers that change during the day, as it is composed of three different ones, Morning, Day, and Night. Also, there's a separate background for the lock screen.

All of them have been refreshed, and we are happy to present them to you in a special collage made just for your viewing pleasure. We've also attached the original wallpapers, so make sure that you check the gallery below if you want to download them and use them right now on your OS. Enjoy!
