Grim Fandango Remastered is a point-and-click adventure developed and published by Double Fine Productions on Steam for Linux and is now available with a 66% discount.

Grim Fandango is widely regarded as one of the best adventure games ever made and the guys from Double Fine Productions know this very well. That's why they decided to release a remastered edition of the game.

"One of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is now back, better than ever. Grim Fandango's epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control," reads the Steam synopsis.

Developers have repainted all of the characters, they have implemented hi-res character textures and a new dynamic lighting system, and the music has been re-recorded with a full live orchestra.

The system requirements for the game are pretty low. Users will need at least Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (other distributions will most likely work as well), and Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GHz, or higher processor, 4 GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4650 / NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 / Intel HD 4000 Graphics, or equivalent video card, and 6GB of HDD space.

The promotion for Grim Fandango is set to expire in just a few days, on September 11.
