Feral Interactive has just dropped the news that they will release the Linux and Mac OS X ports of the GRID Autosport game next week, on December 10, 2015, on Valve's Steam digital gaming store.

Launched in June 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming consoles, as well as for the Microsoft Windows operating system, GRID Autosport is a racing video game developed by Codemasters, a gaming company known for the Colin McRae Rally and DiRT series.

"Take on the world’s most thrilling circuits in the world’s most exciting cars. Ignite your high-speed career as a pro-racer across a range of five demanding disciplines, including the controlled aggression of Touring Cars and the pin-sharp precision of Open-Wheel racing," writes Feral Interactive on the port's mini website.

GRID Autosport is a fun and good-looking racing game where the player becomes a driver for hire. The game takes players on the beautiful tracks of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as well as the gorgeous city streets of Paris, San Francisco, and Barcelona.

GRID Autosport is the game you should buy if you're looking for a great racing game on the Mac OS X or GNU/Linux operating systems. Those who already own the game on Steam should know that, starting December 10, 2015, they will be able to play it on Linux and Mac too. Have fun!
