GParted Live, a small bootable GNU/Linux distribution for x86-based computers that can be used for creating, re-organizing, and deleting disk partitions has been upgraded to version 0.22.0-3 and is now available for download.

GParted is a very powerful tool that allows users to do all kind of cool stuff on their Linux systems, like creating partition tables, resizing and deleting partitions, formatting drivers, and so on. As you can imagine, this is a rather powerful application and it's not to be messed with. Now imagine that you have the same app, but in live setting that can operate outside the OS. It's like using a loaded gun.

"The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2015/Jun/19)," reads the official changelog. The developers have also explained that Linux kernel 4.0.5 has been added by default and the package xorg-server has been patched to fix a VESA graphic issue.

GParted Live can be installed on CD, USB, PXE server, and hard disk, then run on an x86 machine. A complete list of new features and bug fixes can be found in the changelog, and that includes all the modifications made until now.

You can download Gparted Live .22.0-3 right now from Softpedia. It's a very small OS and users should have no problem running it on virtually any PC. It's not a stable version just yet, but it should work just as well.
