Epiphany 3.17.2 is now available for download and testing

The hard-working developers behind the highly acclaimed GNOME desktop environment used in numerous distributions of GNU/Linux have just passed a new milestone towards the anticipated GNOME 3.18 release.

The GNOME 3.17.4 snapshot is now available and brings numerous improvements to some of the core components and applications, including the Epiphany web browser, which has been updated earlier today to version 3.17.2.

According to the raw changelog, which we attached at the end of the article, Epiphany 3.17.2 is here to improve navigation for web apps, to patch a critical crash, as well as to fix various theming issues with the latest version of the Adwaita GTK+ theme.

Additionally, web page titles are now displayed in the tooltips of tabs, and there are various code fixes, updated translations, and build system improvements. Also, the application has been patched to no longer leak data when running in Private Mode.

Those of you who want to test this unstable version of Epiphany should know that it is currently distributed as part of the GNOME 3.17.4 desktop environment. You can also download the Epiphany 3.17.2 sources right now from Softpedia.
