We reported last week that the GNOME Project announced the general availability of the second and final maintenance release of the current stable GNOME 3.18 desktop environment, which brought updates for many GNOME apps and core components.

The GNOME Music has just been updated today, November 16, as part of the GNOME 3.18.2 desktop environment release, bringing mostly fixes for some of the bugs reported by users since the previous version of the software.

According to the internal changelog, attached at the end of the article for reference, GNOME Music 3.18.2 addresses a styling issue for entry tags related to the libgd library and repairs an XML tag problem in Help.

A crash that occurred when attempting to navigate back from the search view has been fixed as well in GNOME Music 3.18.2, along with an issue related to the missing toolbar when navigating back from the search results. Also, the app title is now being reset to "Music" after leaving the Album view.

Last but not least, the Basque, Czech, German, Greek, Hungarian, Lithuanian, and Serbian language translations have been updated as well in the new GNOME Music release, which is distributed as part of the GNOME 3.18.2 desktop environment.

Therefore, we recommend all users of the GNOME 3.18 desktop environment to check for an update to the GNOME Music app in the default software repositories of their GNU/Linux distributions. Alternatively, you can download the GNOME Music 3.18.2 sources right now from Softpedia.
