14 DAY TRIAL // The GNOME developers are yet again hard at work these days to release the fourth milestone towards the upcoming GNOME 3.20 desktop environment, which will see the light of day this spring, on March 23, 2016.
Therefore, they have released several updated components this week, and today we would like to share with you the latest changes implemented in the GNOME Control Center application, which has been updated to version 3.19.5 and will get a revamped design soon.
According to the internal changelog (attached at the end of the article), GNOME Control Center 3.19.5 offers better keyboard navigation for the graphical user interface by adding numerous widget mnemonics that were missing from previous releases.
Furthermore, the Bluetooth support has been enhanced by fixing a broken state that occurred when activating Bluetooth, adding support for gnome-bluetooth 3.18.2, and implementing a function that no longer switches the status during transitions.
Last but not least, the Network section has received elipsized device metadata fields, the Sharing component now makes sure the Tracker Rygel plugin is disabled, and a crash has been patched for Wacom support.
The user and system formats are now consistent for the Region & Language section. Of course, numerous translations have been updated. You can download GNOME Control Center 3.19.5 right now from Softpedia, but keep in mind that it's a pre-release version.
