FPS adventure game Gone Home is now available on Steam for Linux with huge 88% price cut that will last for another day.

Gone Home is a story driven game that is like nothing you've ever played until now. You don't get to meet anyone, and you don't get to interact with any other character. You're just trying to solve a mystery. Despite the fact that there are no enemies, and you don't get hurt in any way, the game manages to keep the suspense going with ease, and that's mostly due to the script and the gameplay itself.

The Steam synopsis is pretty clear, but the game won't hold your hand. "Gone Home is an interactive exploration simulator. Interrogate every detail of a seemingly normal house to discover the story of the people who live there. Open any drawer and door. Pick up objects and examine them to discover clues. Uncover the events of one family's lives by investigating what they've left behind."

Despite the fact that it plays from a first-person perspective, the game has rather low systems requirement. If your Linux OS has glibc 2.11 or newer, a 1.80GHz CPU, 2GB of memory, a video card with at least 512 MB or VRAM, and 2GB of HDD space, then you're golden.

Enjoy!
