Geary is the default email client default in Elementary OS and it's also present in a number of other repositories as well. Developers have just made an important upgrade to it that should turn some heads.

Geary is developed by a group named Yorba and they also tried to get their application in the GNOME stack a while back. Now, a new upgrade has been released for the email client, and Elementary OS has been quick to integrate it.

"Major shout out to Yorba for their work on Geary and again to Nathan for his work porting it to elementary OS. Please consider helping out Yorba with funding. Like us, they are a teeny tiny independent software company that could really use your support," Daniel Fore, one of the Elementary OS developers, writes on the official blog.

According to the changelog, the full-text search has been improved, the IMAP connection management has been refined, the draft management is now better, quoting selected text in replies is now supported, HTML signatures have been implemented, support has been added for multiple email addresses in an account, Undo has been added for Archive, Trash, and Move, translation have been upgraded, and lots of smaller fixes have been implemented.
