GnewSense, a completely free GNU/Linux distribution that doesn't use any restrictive licenses, is now at version 3.0 Beta 2.

gNewSense 3.0 "Parkes" Beta 2 is the second development release in the series and is not available for download.

Highlights of gNewSense 3.0 "Parkes" Beta 2:

• The Live installer (which can be started with the icon on the live desktop) is now working properly. The users will still get access to the text and GUI install boot menu options; • The graphical installer now looks like gNewSense instead of the Debian flavor; • OpenOffice.org is now included the default install of the distribution; • The boot menu has been made a little shorter.

Check the official announcement for a complete list of changes and improvements. Download gNewSense 3.0 "Parkes" Beta 2 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
