Canonical's David Planella sent in his regular report informing us about the work done by the Ubuntu Community Team during the week that just passed, with details about the most interesting stuff.

Therefore, we can report today that the Ubuntu Community Team managed to announce the first Snappy Open House, to discuss around a prototype for the converged Calendar designs, as well as to finish the new website for Ubuntu Touch core apps, which will be published next week.

They managed to finalize the testings of the new Notes apps (formerly Reminders) for Ubuntu Touch, which will bring awesome features like content hub integration, push notifications, and an improved note viewer. The Notes app will land in Ubuntu Touch after the OTA-5 update.

Moreover, a lot of work was done for bringing Samba support in the File Manager of the Ubuntu Touch mobile operating system. Also, the upcoming UbuCon Germany event announced a while ago will get an official announcement very soon.

Last but not least, there are some improvements to the documentation for Ubuntu Touch developers, sich as a Go Scope tutorial, Snappy boards page, updated "Installing Ubuntu" page, integration of Snappy documentation into the developer website, Scopes QA documentation, and documentation translations dashboard.
